The University Cultural Activities Service (SUAC) offers activities and cultural events on the University’s campuses with a view to its artistic mission : conference programmes, exhibitions, artists in residence, Higher Education Arts and Culture Days... The SUAC is also on hand to facilitate access to culture for students and to support the cultural projects of UHA staff, students and researchers.

Cultural Activities

The activities put in place by the SUAC are all part of its mission to share its know-how and broad approach to new forms of culture with the entire university and town communities.

The objective is to facilitate other ways of looking at the world and encounters with the cultural players and universities operating in the area, to place an emphasis upon cultural values and scientific and technical culture and to support student projects, to promulgate the Alsace Culture Card and propose artistic practices via « UE libres culture » (Cultural Study Option Units).

Numerous events are organised throughout the year : meetings, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, events, artist residencies, Higher Education Arts and Culture Days etc….

Cultural Study Option Units

UHA’s Cultural Study Option Units are supported and delivered by artists, actors, musicians and culture professionals and contribute to the richness of discovery, cultural exchange and the appreciation that comes from the confrontation of different artistic and technical experiences.

It’s about cinema, theatre, photography, orchestra and choir, varied artistic specialities, illustration – and all for the pleasure of everyone.

These « UE libres culture » (Cultural Study Option Units) are part of the formal academic programme.

The Culture Card

The Culture Card dis something specific to students in Alsace which enables them to enjoy, at a reduced price, cultural events and programmes organised by the region’s cultural institutions. It is a real « open sesame » to culture which offers acces to more than 80 cultural organisations and their shows and productions: cinemas, museums, festivals and other such events.
